About

authorheadshot Live Fix Blog merges the music-based writings and live concert experiments of Chicago writer/blogger Chris Catania. Based in Chicago, Chris interviews artists and fans, reviews concerts, festivals, events and albums for PopMatters, Remix, Relix, Ink19, Matador Travel and other other online and print publications.

Live Fix Blog: The Online Laboratory

On Live Fix, Chris uses words, photos, video and social media to tell stories about fan behavior and artist performance in live concert culture.

Chris is constantly amazed at the wonders of the live concert experience. So Live Fix Blog also serves as an online laboratory where he asks questions and creates conversations with fans, artists and other writers.  In those conversations,  he explores the meaning of fan behavior and artist performance in live concert culture.

Chris also uses social media tools, such as Twitter and YouTube, to discover  the deeper meaning behind the sociology, psychology and physiology of the live concert community experience.  And he invites you to check out the Gist of the Fix to see why he created Live Fix and how other fans and artists have joined the conversation.

Photos on Live Fix are taken by his wife, Colleen Catania.  If you’re going to use her photos please give her credit (you’ll be doing everyone a favor). You’re invited to see more of Colleen’s photos on Flickr.

You can connect with Chris in a lot of places in the socialsphere: Twitter, MyspaceLinkedIn, YouTube  and Facebook
